Day 5 – Exploring Seminyak
I’m going to be pretty boring tonight, because today was our ‘do absolutely nothing day’! We spent hours upon hours in the pool just chilling out. We had a few drinks at the pool bar and got chatting to this lovely man Tiana. He told us all about his upbringing and how he has to travel an hour to and from work every day to look after his family, which consists of his parents, his wife and his newborn son. How he spoke of his happiness with his life and happiness made little sad that us westerners don’t find the same pleasure with the simple life. We are all too busy to appreciate any of the little things in life! But that’s another blog entirely…
We have just come home from a little walk wandering around our local area. We have done loads of shopping! I don’t know what to do with myself! So many shops with everything so cheap! We had a lovely dinner at place called The Haven. It was superb! We were greeted with smiling faces and a frangipani put behind my ear, bread and balsamic (and for anyone who knows me, you’ll know that’s how you get straight to my heart), and a drink! What more could you ask for? The service was fantastic and the food was to die for. For anyone thinking of coming to Bali, I highly recommend it! So basically, my very lazy day was perfect. Now I have tomorrow to look forward to! We’re heading off to safari park, where I’ll hopefully get to hold a baby tiger! Can’t wait!
